St. George Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church, popularly known as Edappally Mar Geevarghese Sahada Palli or Edappally Palli is situated in Edappally, Kochi, India. People from every part of the world flows here to seek the blessings of the holy St George, World wide known as Edappally Punyalan. It is the biggest pilgrim centre of St George in Asia and largest in the world perhaps second only to the Church of St George Lod in Israel. Edappally forane is one among the largest parishes in India.[1] This is one of the oldest churches in India, built in 594 AD. The Edappally pilgrim church were the richest catholic shrine in Kerala.
